Trezor® Wallet — Hardware security simplified
Overview — what is the Trezor® hardware wallet?
Trezor® is a family of hardware wallets engineered to keep cryptocurrency private keys offline and safe from malware. The device signs transactions in a secure environment and only exposes public addresses. For official setup instructions visit trezor.io/start.
Setup & software
Start at the official start page above. You’ll install Trezor® Suite (desktop/mobile management app) or use web-based flows when instructed. To enable browser access, many users must also install Trezor® Bridge — search for the Trezor® Bridge Download on the official site.
Login — how it works
There is no cloud login — unlocking is done by connecting your physical Trezor® device and entering a PIN on the device screen. If the Suite or website does not detect the device, it’s typically a Bridge, USB, or browser permission issue.
Troubleshooting common problems
- Trezor® login not working: Try a different USB cable or port, reinstall Trezor® Bridge, and reboot your machine.
- Unable to login Trezor®: Use the desktop Trezor® Suite app instead of the browser to narrow down the issue.
- Error Connecting Trezor® Account: Confirm firmware is updated and you’ve downloaded Suite / Bridge from the official site.
- Can't verify Trezor® Wallet: Make sure the on-device model name and fingerprint match the instructions displayed on-screen and you are on the official URL.
Account recovery & 2FA
If your device is lost or damaged, account recovery uses your backup recovery phrase (12/24 words). Never enter your recovery phrase on an untrusted device or website. For services where you used Trezor® keys for 2FA, reset or recovery is handled by those services — Trezor® cannot directly reset third-party 2FA.
